Ask the Passengers

Ask the Passengers - I had two issues with this book:1. I kinda hated the passengers' interludes (with the possible exception of the last one.) Sappy McSap.2. Complete lack of the word bisexual. Granted, like all labels, bi is a box, even if it's a box I'm perfectly happy to be in. But the fact that no one, not once, used the word bi or acknowledged that sexuality isn't a gay/straight binary in a book about a girl trying to deal with definitions, her sexuality, come out, and people's reaction to sexuality, felt simultaneously unrealistic (seriously, your daughter says she doesn't know if she's gay and you don't ask 'maybe you're bi?'?) and an unpleasant reinforcement of bi invisibility.Otherwise, fantastic book that I devoured in a day.
